EDAC's Assessment Toolkit
EDAC is excited to have collaborated with the PEACE pathway on the development of an Assessment toolkit, designed as a follow-up to a standard eating disorder assessment if an individual is identified as having higher autistic traits. The aim of this assessment is to support clinicians in exploring whether autism-specific mechanisms may influence their eating disorder experience. The Assessment Toolkit aims to cover a range of domains known to be important in the development and maintenance of eating disorders in individuals with higher Autistic traits. It is also designed to identify Autistic strengths that can be harnessed to support recovery from an eating disorder which can be built into treatment planning.

The Assessment Toolkit is a free resource for clinicians to download and use.  We would like to acknowledge the support of the following individuals in its development:

Emy Nimbley, Fiona Duffy, Ellen Maloney, Karri Gillespie-Smith, Sarah Wilcock, Rachel Loomes, Phaedra Longhurst, Jess Kerr-Gaffney, Kate Tchanturia, Lisa Thomson and Bryanna Lazich.
