We are thrilled that EDAC’s MRI research has been showcased in the recent three-part ITV News series “Eating disorders: Autism, social media and the male experience”. This impactful series explores key issues around eating disorders, including covering the intersection of autism and eating disorders. 

EDAC team member Michelle discussed the importance of understanding Autistic experiences of eating disorders, and how our MRI study can be used to better understand the role of masking in the development of an eating disorder. It’s fantastic to see these important conversations reaching a national audience and helping to highlight the complexity and individuality of eating disorder experiences for the Autistic community.
