EDAC at the International Conference for Eating Disorders (ICED) 2026

This June, we are delighted report that EDAC members Fiona and Millie attend the International Conference on Eating Disorders (ICED) 2026 in The Hague, the Netherlands, joining researchers, clinicians, advocates, and individuals with lived experience from around the world to share the latest developments in eating disorder research and practice.

A major highlight of the conference (and a particularly proud moment for EDAC) was seeing our Co-PI, Fiona Duffy, deliver a plenary talk focused on Autism and Eating Disorders. Fiona's invitation to speak at ICED 2026 not only reflects her outstanding contributions to the field but also reflects the growing recognition of the importance of research at the intersection of eating disorders and autism. It was fantastic to see Fiona sharing her expertise on such a prominent international stage!

The conference was also a wonderful opportunity for EDAC researchers to showcase our ongoing work. We presented two posters sharing findings focusing on barriers and enablers to autism-affirming eating disorder care, as well as career opportunities and concerns for eating disorder early career researchers (ECRs).

We are incredibly proud of Fiona and all EDAC members who were at ICED 2026. The conference was an inspiring few days of learning, networking, and knowledge exchange, and we look forward to building on the connections and momentum generated in The Hague.
