Next Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30am, we will be offering a clinician-focused webinar to present and discuss our evidence informed and co-produced guidelines for adapting eating disorder focused family therapy (FT-ED) for Autistic young people and their families. This webinar is suited to practitioners familiar with therapeutic modalities such as family-based treatment (FBT) or Maudsley family therapy for anorexia nervosa (FT-AN). It will be led by Dr. Fiona Duffy, a Senior Lecturer at Edinburgh University and a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in NHS Lothian CAMHS.
The webinar will include:
- An overview of the current research evidence
- A parent of an Autistic young person sharing their experience of FT-ED
- The presentation of our new co-produced guidelines for adapting FT-ED for Autistic young people
- Discussion period on the implementation of the guidelines
